In case you missed it, Flat Out Friday, the world’s largest indoor flat track race, is coming to The One Motorcycle Show at the Portland Expo Center, on Friday, April 19th in Portland, Oregon!

About Flat Out Friday

Flat Out Friday is not your average motorcycle race. It's the largest indoor flat track race globally, attracting riders aged 6 to 79 from all corners of the country. This event stands out as the most distinguished indoor flat track race in the U.S.A. Part race, part rock show, and part circus it all adds up to 110% entertainment.

Race Classes

  1. Modern Twins / Hooligans: 750cc & larger street-legal machines modified for flat track. 1986 & newer.

  2. Open Am: 250cc + larger. 12 years old to ride a 250, 14 to ride a 450.

  3. Open Electric: Must be 16 years old. No pedals.

  4. Stacyc A/B: Stacyc Electric Youth Motorcycle. No Motorcycles. 4-8 years old, 8-12 years old, 20” wheel max size.

  5. Build, Train, Race: Women who participated in BTR Flat Track or Road Race Series. Royal Enfield 650s only.

  6. Maddawg: 200cc four-stroke max, 18 years old and up, air-cooled.

  7. Open Women: 250cc & larger. 12 years old to ride a 250, 14 to ride a 450.

  8. Boonie: Riders must be 18. Machines must be pull-start.

  9. AA / Pro: 250cc minimum, rider must be 16 years old and prove to belong.

  10. Four-stroke 50cc: (Shaft Allowed) 4-8 years old.

  11. 65/85cc: 7-11 to race 65, 9-15 to race 85.

  12. 50 plus: 250cc minimum, riders must be 50 years or older.

  13. Open Vintage 1985 or older: 250cc minimum, 18-year minimum age.

  14. 3-Wheeler: Must have 3 wheels, no sidecars, rider must be at least 18 years old.

Rules

This is an AMA event. Promoters carry no rider insurance. All participants must be AMA members to participate. $20 day of event memberships will be available the day of the event. You can purchase an annual membership here: https://form.jotform.com/amatech/JoinAMA.

  1. No knobbies or slicks.

  2. If you damage the track with water, gas, oil, antifreeze or display poor sportsmanship, YOU WILL BE BLACK FLAGGED! The referee can disqualify riders due to too much smoke or oil. You will be asked to leave if your riding is a danger to others. Make sure your bike and soul are in good riding condition. 

  3. Gasoline is not allowed in the building. Motorcycles must be filled with gas outside of the building. DO NOT RUN YOUR MOTORCYCLE INSIDE THE BUILDING WHEN NOT ON THE TRACK!! Wait until you are instructed to start your motorcycle.

  4. All bikes must have a catch can for coolants

  5. All pits must have their own fire extinguisher.

  6. All bikes must have cardboard under their bike when it is stationary.

  7. No electricity is provided. No gas-powered generators are allowed inside the building. Battery-powered electrical sources are permitted.

  8. Riders and bikes will enter the Expo Center, around the back (follow signage) Venue Address: 2060 Marine Dr. W, Exhibit Hall E, Portland, OR 97217

  9. Heats will have 6 riders per class, up to 12 in a Semi and Main.

  10. Starts are off a green light, in case of a light malfunction, races will start with a green flag. 

  11. No alcohol in the pits.

  12. All riders must wear a full-face helmet, gloves, boots that cover the ankle and long sleeves.

  13. All bikes must have headlights, and tail lights removed, or covered with tape.

  14. Damage to the concrete will not be tolerated. The left footpeg must be foldable and taped. NO BURNOUTS inside the arena.

  15. Rider’s left boot must be covered in carpeting or tape.

  16. All riders must have a current AMA membership. All riders, even AA riders must have Minor Release form signed if under 18 years of age.

  17. All persons in the pits must sign a liability waiver.

  18. All purse money will be announced at the event.

  19. No exchanges. You will be issued a full refund, minus fees related to e-commerce, up to 96 hours of gates opening. You can not give your spot to someone else!

  20. No whining

  21. No pros in amateur classes.

  22. Flat Out Friday does not pay show-up money to riders. 

  23. All riders need a readable number plate on their bike (we prefer 3 actually, but 1 is better than none).
